Technically speaking, is this a "Build Your Own Arcade Controls" question? I dunno - it's about as close as you can get and still not be in the right place.
A friend recently found an old Hurricane foosball table. The rods and men are missing, but he said that the rest is in great shape (I'll see it on Saturday). My friend thinks that Tornado tables have compatible parts with the Hurricane. Can anyone verify that? Also, looking at the prices to replace the parts, Happ Controls is going to charge around $500.00 for just the poles and the men. I have found websites that charge less, but he'd still be looking at $300.00.
Maybe I'm just being cocky, but it really doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to get a long rod and cut it into the right-sized pieces, and save a bundle by putting together your own rods (for starters). Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might look for chrome-plated rods of a very specific diameter?
Any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
