Old "arcade" games
« on: September 19, 2002, 01:54:07 am »
Hey, I need to ask the older crowd here a question.  Thinking about it this may not be the right section, but I need as much exposure as possible to find the answer.

Ok, when I wasa SMALL kid I went to the bars alot with my dad.  He was on a pool league.

It was a nickel skill game.  The play field was several ramps and launchers.

You dropped a nickel in from the top.  and it sat on the top ramp.  you controlled a spring powered launcher to roll the nickel to a slot in the ramp to drop ot the next ramp.  How ever, there where holes in the backboard the nickel could fall through.  So it was a skill game.  You had to put just enough spring in the launcher to get the nickel to the slot, otherwise sometimes too much there was a hole in the backboard, too soft there might have been a hole in the backboard.  I got harder as you went down.
I only once made it all the way.  Since it was so cheap, my dad gave me alot of nickels to play:)

Anyone play it?  have any idea what it is?  Any idea where I could find it?

Try digging through this site...you might find one (I saw something similar to what you described only with a penny instead of a nickel
