How do I build my own ps to pc adapter?

Hi
Im new to this board, and I browsed through it a lot noticing a lot of ppl talking about this.
Yet everyone keeps saying buy an adapter.. well thats all good but I want to try and make it myself just for the fun og it
I want to try and use a DB25 pin plug to do this, I know this works becouse I have seen adapters u can buy with that plug.
I just have absolutely no clue how to do it  
Now I checked The tutorial by mike (http://narx.net/~mike/projects/psxadaptor)
But that goes into powersupplies etc. I dont think I need all that.
So if anyone knows how to do this can You just inform me in here I think if we get a good tutorial in here it would be good for general public so id sticky it.

Seconded. Those are the plans I used for mine. I've never done anything of the sort, and was very surprised when it worked perfectly the first time I tried it

YEs, it works (i have 3 and they are working form 4 years ago, with pads driving whells and dance mats), but if you look carefully you could find similar plans to make adapters for 4 or more ps pads to one parallel port

i love a good project as much as anyone, but 12 bucks is justy too good of a deal..plug and play..

The radio shack dongle doesn't support simultaneous left/right or up/down, so no dance pad support...

You'll find that the majority, if not all commerical converters probably don't as the real controller itself does not support it, and most convertors treat that it as the X/Y Axis as they logically should.

For dance games, you are better configuring the four shoulder buttons as U/D/L/R.
