how do i hack a nes controller?

the controler i want to hack is a nes quickshot i want to to work with my computer i have a game pad here waiting for it it even had buttons for turbo but i dont what that what i want to know is how should i go about making this work? is there a way to make some kind of board that will decode signals sent from the nes controler? has any one here hooked up a nes controler to a pdc before if so please say how you did it!

In the download section the there is a file called Direct Pad Pro. It has schematics and drivers to hook NES (and some other console's) to the parallel (printer) port of a computer, without needing to modify the joystick.

with the many problems with paralll ports and newer oses it wont work especially if my parallel port is messed up in the first place lol i tested several things it doesnt work

Skip the nes controllers, they only have 2 buttons anyway.  Buy a playstation arcade style stick and use a psx to pc adaptor from lik sang.  It's usb so it's a much more elegant solution I think.

If you make a lpt port adaptor, use NTPad for 2k/XP

DirectPadPro is old and has issues.
