Happ's new Golden Tee joystick...
« on: September 18, 2002, 05:01:10 pm »
Hello all,

I'm looking at the new Happ's trackball for my CP.  It's on sale until October.  I was also looking at the High ball one as well.  My question is for mounting the ball.  I would buy the standard mounting kit but I'm not sure if the new TB fits into the old mounting or I have to mill it or what.  Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a bunch.

If you mean the 3" high lip trackball for golden tee, it fits the normal happs mounting plate fine.  The only difference between the older TB and this one is:

If you use the mounting plate, you leave the plastic spacer "washer" on.  (not needed for normal 3" trackballs)  The spacer comes with the TB.

If you mount directly to the CP like GT 2002 & 2003, you take off the spacer.  This is great if you want to mount it directly to your CP, too, since with the "high lip", you have a thicker plate to mount it to.
