What does everyone think from first impressions?

Hmmm, looks decent enough, very similar to the US Midway style cocktails, but different enough not to be a rip off of them.

Although I do find it funny they are building those in Australia since that style never officially came to your country as that was a style built IN America. I can understand it though, as that style is easier to build than the school desk cocktails.

yeah, i did see those advertised a little while ago. i think it's just plain wrong!! hehe. as paige says, they weren't built here. i'm guessing there probably was the odd one brought in privately but that's all.

it would sorta be like if 'the rugby shop' found it was much cheaper to sell american football jerseys and so didn't bother with rugby jerseys!!

not that its all that cheap either, at $795 (and with an acrylic top rather than glass!!)

i actually bought my controls and encoder from them, and i think they do a good job. just they've turned the wrong corner on this cab.

Indeed, plus school desk types have got to be more difficult to put in kit form I suppose. I really like the look of these;

For around the same price, I'd be willing to scrape up the extra for the rest myself and Mame it. Heck, even one of those multi boards could be cool in one with an authentic arcade monitor. I want to support Ozstick very much (they are great to deal with) though I can't get past wanting a proper Jap/Aussie Cocktail cabinet. Oh, and fellow Aussies I found the price here;

Does anyone know if they sell to the general public? I'm guessing they would.

Whoops...began typing that last post before seeing Danny's effort! My "Indeed" referred to the cab's being harder to build, not to Ozstick turning the wrong corner as it reads now. Doh!

Damn I'm set on one of those Game Masters cab's, not all of us can build like you Danny (or the other Aussie that made a truly wicked copy of this recently, forgotten his name sorry!).

now THAT looks like a good deal!!

cept maybe a bit too much black  ;) but still for the price...

and it was marcus who made something similar to this, which is a hankin style (or hamster style, can never remember which  :D)

in fact, marcus made several. maybe he has one left over?

Yeah, they do - at least I bought some joysticks/buttons there about two years ago. I just walked in and spoke to a guy there called Shannon. He was very helpful. I think there's a link to his email address on their site somewhere, IIRC.

Cool, thank you for the info. Let's hope they still have them when I can afford one maybe mid next year :( I think it's one of the nicest looking cabs anywhere. Though I agree about all the black, and must say the replica Marcus made is sensational. Come on Marcus, say you've got one spare somewhere?!
