Recommend a good USB hub

In addition to my USB keyboard and mouse, I am running a Happ USB trackball, Tornado USB spinner, OptiPac in USB mode and a dual strike hack.  I have a Logitech 4 port USB1.1 hub.  Unfortunately, the trackball and spinner tend to cut out after a few minutes of use.  I've read some old posts about setting the bios to 1.1 but this does not fix the problem plus I have a USB 2 flash drive that I use daily.    The computer is XP SP2 with a 3GHz CPU.  I'm thinking I need a new hub.  Any recommendations?

Is your current USB hub self-powered or bus-powered?  You also might be running out of bandwidth on the USB bus.

Also, try to use as many ports on your PC as you can before you plug things into the hub.

I went with a 4 port pci slot usb.
that way no extra power needed. also 2.0 usb.
mine was free . I have a friend who most go buy everything and mess his pc up. He then gets mad and gives me his stuff  
I do like him but man he should not EVER play with electonics.
I have got 3 new mother boards from him becouse he plugs in the ps2 mouse by pushing HARD and twisting till she fits. He as blown many ps2 ports doing this

The Logitech hub has its own power supply.  The cab is about 10 feet from the computer.  That's why I'm trying to run everything off the hub.  I have a high quality Belkin 3in1 extension.  It has DVI, USB & Audio (everything I need for my cab with only a single cable going to my PC.

I found someone that is goiong to let me borrow an Adaptec 7 port USB 2.0 hub.  I had planned on adding 2 more DualStrike hacks bringing the total total to 6 USB plugs.

Just in case any one has the same problem, I found the solution.  It had nothing to do with the BIOS or USB 2.0 or self powering the hub or the length of the USB cable or the type of hub.  The problem was that the spinner & trackball were not properly grounded.  A solid 12 gauge wire to the house ground fixed all the USB problems.
