I wish Namco would make this...

Anyone a fan of Katamari Damacy on the PS2?

I was just thinking it would be great if namco made a coin-op version that used a big-ass trackball as the controller to roll the ball around...

NO MORE!!

I hope they don't...  I'd hate to have to save up enough money to buy a brand new arcade machine - they's expensive!   :o

How about 2 analog joysticks? or it could be a sitdown cab with a throttle control on both sides.

Nah, realizing this is all just make-believe anyway, I think the big trackball idea is sweetest.  Seeing as the Japanese definitely aren't afraid of uber-specialized controls for arcade machines these days (see: Boonga, etc), something like a ~14-16" or so ball with force feedback for rolling and foot controls for rotating around the katamari and jumping...  *drool*

Yeah, like a bowling ball sized trackball... with resistance and force feedback, so when you hit a wall or have to roll up a hill it gets harder to spin!
