TimeCrisis metal pedal for PlayStation Consoles
« on: October 27, 2004, 07:09:15 pm »
This is pretty cool cause it looks like they cloned the look and materials off of the TimeCrisis arcade machines. Now with Crisis Zone out there's more reasons for me to pick one of these bad boys up.

I always wondered why someone didn't make a pedal for Timecrisis for the home. $40 seems to be a chunk of change but they got it all down to the diamond plate and metal construction.

LOL. I remember when I first got Time Crisis for PSX I'd throw an extra controller on the floor and press the button with my toes.  ;)

Ditto!  ;)
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

hey thanks a lot for letting me know about this. In the future i'll prolly lay down the 40 bucks to get it.  Probably beats trying to build one that will last.

Yeah, I saw that a while ago.

The thing is that the hack is only for a specific gun. For example if this pedal maps to a button then you can plug two in with two USB guncons and then play double window on one machine/TV with two people for TC 2 and 3. This pedal should work also for PSOne and PS2. You can also link to PS2 machines for true arcade action. Hacking each guncon is a poor way of doing it because they could have just hooked up the pedal to a PSOne PCB and used it as a separate controller.

I'm a big fan of the TC games and I've used joysticks on the ground as a "pedal" secretly wanting something exactly like this.
