IPAC question
« on: September 15, 2002, 07:14:15 pm »
Greetings,

I have an IPAC two player connected in my cab.  Here's the goofy thing using mame32, arcadeos, or plain old mame .61
my player2 buttons 5 and 6 don't work.  If I open notepad in windows98 the buttons work  the letters "i" and "k"  respectively. During the launch of a game say "Marvel vs. Street Fighter" Capcom   when the screen comes up giving the MAME info "press any key to continue"  I can press button 5 or 6 and proceed to the next screen but then nothing ?  Buttons 5 and 6 work in windows but not in MAME.  I have reprogrammed my IPAC with the defaults.
Player1 works like a charm.  Any ideas ?

TIA,

Tom

When you have a rom loaded, hit the 'Tab' key, and then configure P2 buttons 5 & 6.  MAME by default has those buttons unassigned.

Oh another "read the directions" thing...

OSCAR thank you for the reply.  I knew it was a internal MAME thing but I wasn't sure where to go.

Again thanks,

Tom
