standard monitor attachment...
« on: October 23, 2004, 02:21:21 am »
i was reading over at retroblast about the kortek monitor, and i was wondering if anyone had a layout for a standard monitor attachment board for a 27 inch monitor, and possibly the dimensions of the kortek, just for reference.  what i mean by monitor attachment is the wood it screws into on the front, that kinda keeps it from falling out the back of your cab...i hope you get it.  thanks for the help

I took the bezel off my candy cab for paint yesterday, so was able to grab some quick measurements.  Assuming that these size monitors really are standardized in their mounting (which I'm counting on since I too plan to pick up a Kortek soon), the four screws for mounting are in a 21" square.  The chassis bracket is 24"w x 22 3/4"h overall, and will require an opening of at least 24"w x exactly 20"h to mount.

Here's a quick drawing to illustrate (not really to scale)...  The black would be the mounting hole.

EDIT 11/24: For posterity, these measurements don't seem to be exactly the same as the Betson/WG 27" monitors.
