Anyone need "cheap" webhosting?

Hey guys, I run a small web development and hosting company and have decided to try and offer anyone that frequents this board some "cheap" hosting. Now, you might find cheaper hosting other places on the net, but the service and reliability are sometimes crap. I promise to take care of you, and the reliability/speed is great.

My initial offer is to anyone that has an existing domain or wants to host a domain, and the basic features areas follows:

This would be great for those of you wanting to host your MAME cab sites, etc...

nullboy, how DO I do it? Or how do you host a site in general? Not sure what you are asking. Anyway, if you have a domain already you can just change nameservers to mine and I can host you. Otherwise go to someone like www.godaddy.com and buy your own domain name for $8.95 a year. Then host it.

As for the price, yes I made it low as I could. Just for the BYOAC users. featureprice.com is $4.95 also I see but don't offer ALL the features I am offering to you guys like unlimited email accounts, etc. Also they charge a $25 set-up fee. I usually charge $15, but I am waiving that for you guys.

Anyone need more info about features or the servers just email me.

I like your idea of having cgi scripts like message boards, gusetbooks (sic), chat rooms, etc all ready installed.  This may be helpful for people who don't know, and don't want to learn how to use CGI.  This was the biggest problem for me to solve (how to use CGI Scripts).  $4.95 isn't that bad of a price for these services.  

That said, I personally use dixiesys, and their $3.95 plan http://www.3-95.com  I've had one outage when they were physically moving the server.  Other than that, they've been really reliable.  Their help desk is also really helpful and quick.   I would recommend them to anyone.  

I also would recommend http://www.godaddy.com for domain name registration.

Matt, that is a very generous offer (I may have to take you up on it since I still haven't hosted any of my projects/cabinets yet).

Question: if you register a domain name through godaddy, do they retain the rights to the domain name?  Is that why its so cheap?

Dave: Nope. It's just a great deal. It's your domain.  

Dgodwin: Yeah, the CGI Scripts are available to you in a web based control panel where you activate them as you need/want. The control panel also has Web Statistics, error logs, sub-domain setup, email account set-up, and a lot more features. It's really cool actually.

I too have a support desk. You can visit my site if you want more info, etc: www.humboldthosting.com - This is for a local hosting biz I have in my area. The VALUE PLAN on my site is kind of what I am offering to you guys, but with more features and half the price.
