and a moon patrol:

i notice that both the galaxian and moon patrol cab have the same stickers/inserts top and bottom of the instructions. would that mean they are from the same vendor or something? those two games were different manufacturers so im curious...

From what I understand, the majority of cabs down under were built there. Doing so would make economic sense, as you could fit the guts needed to build 200+ cabs in the same shipping container that 20 complete cabs would fill.

p.s. your cab could sure use a little dusting. ;)

Your cabinet is great, checked it out a few times. When I get around to a cocktail this is just what I need :)

shucks on the compliment!!

and yes, it is a tad dusty, but not from disuse  ;D.

and yes, that makes sense now. the cabs would have been made by one company (which would have been Leisure & Allied Industries). i guess they would have bought from various manufacturers and installed in just a few designs. that probably answers my question in another thread on whether or not that classic 'galaga' cab was used in australia or not. im guessing not  :(  i so would love to buy a classic and restore...

Games in Australia come in two basic varieties. Games L&A licensed and placed in their own cabs, and bootleg games in L&A cabinets!
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

hehe. thats why the last 3 pcbs i saw on ebay.com.au were bootlegs!!

i feel a jamma replica coming on then if there is little hope of me finding a classic like a galaga upright. a new home for lonely pcbs!! once i have some money of course, little matter of paying my tax to get out of the way...

I went to the www.bumper.com.au auction last sunday... they had about 4 cocktails for sale and you wouldn't believe what they sold for... Around $800-$1200 each!  :o I was surprised, esp. since I bought my own cab for $50 a few years back.
