Game identification help
« on: October 19, 2004, 02:31:01 pm »
Hi there,
I am trying to figure out the name of a game or "system" that I saw at a recent auction.

The game was in a mini stand-up cabinet, with a 19 inch monitor, trackball, and two buttons. I *think* the marquee said "arcade paradise" or something like that. They had 2 of these.  It also had a ticket dispenser and a free play button on the front of it.

The game itself was a menu of 20-25 mini games like bowling, card games and puzzle games that was navigated with the trackball and buttons. It looked similar to the touchmaster games but did not have the name anywhere.
Also interesting to note that it appeared it was booting from a normal pc when started since the bios was displayed and you could see the dos batch files running to load the interface.

Anyone have any idea what system or types of games these could be? I played it for awhile and it was very amusing, I didnt know how much it was worth though and did not want to go over $200.

Hmmm...  ???

Sounds like a crappy PC based arcade system called "Arcade Paradise."  ;D

Course, that's just a guess.  ::)

heh  :)

It is hard to describe, I really wish I would have payed more attention to it or watched closer when it was booting. The games themselves were very well done, the bowling game itself I played for about 15 minutes. I just wish I could figure out what software was used, I did not seem at all like a pc game.
