« on: October 14, 2004, 04:10:59 pm »
Hi all,

I would like to know if you already have bad experiences with lot of USB devices plugged in your computer ?

I mean, if I use :

1 usb connexion for OptiPac ( trackball )
1   "           "        for Tornado spinner
1 usb for IPAC4
2 usb for using 2 49happ Joypad

-> 5 USB !?

Do I have to be afraid ?
 ??? :-\
Thanks

ive heard of some folks having massive slowdowns sometimes with hubs..  seems like a 2.0<>1.1 issue..  you might be able to dig up something from searching the forum

if you are looking to get rid of the 49 ways, ive been dying to try doing the analog console thing, so let me know.. ;)

Yes I had problems using my OptiPac (USB 1.1) with a USB2.0 hub.  Now I just use a USB2 hub for my portable HDD, and a USB1 hub for my control panel.

But I would think you'll be fine - you could always use your IPAC in PS/2 mode if you want (this arguably performs better too).
