pelican universal hack --- reset problem

i recently found this http://www.the-console-corner.com/pelican's_universal_arcade_stick.htm controller to hack and now i am getting reset issues. everytime i go into my cvs2 or anything it like constantly resets... sometimes the controller lights go on and off and im wondering what is going on? i checked like all the connections they seem to be fine... anyone know whats going on? is the board shorting? i can get it working sometimes for 20 secs and then it reboots again? feel free to help cuz im dumbfounded  ???

Sounds like the board is fried/defective.  :-\

A defective Pelican stick? SHOCK!  :o

I'd try hacking a Universal Real Arcade instead. Since it uses arcade style parts it's a snap and they're not that much more expensive.

I have the guts of 4 Pelican Real Arcades in my cabinet, and they use standard arcade parts inside, so there is very little "hack" involved.

i know theres very little hack but is there something i did wrong that would cause this issue? at first i thought it was a ground problem so i rewired it and it worked ! but tested it this morning and back to the same problem...

so u guys think its fried????  ???

ok upon further testing i dunno if the board is messed up but if i hold on to the back button everything seems to work properly? is there a way to disable the back button all together? if there is please let me know
