Who's CP is this?
« on: October 10, 2004, 10:37:29 am »
Who's CP is this?  I saw it in the past and saved the pic.  I really like it and want to know if the original owner/producer would share the files for it.

It's Motorfish's. And you're right it's pretty damn cool!

That one is mine. I can share the file on my FTP for a while (It's really big, depending on if you wanted it layer collapsed or not)

. The control panel will fit exactly a Golden Tee 2002 CP, which is what it was designed on.

I would like to see the layered file just to check out some of your techniques.  I've tried drawing boxes around my buttons and stuff but it always comes out horribly disfigured.  If you decide to make your file public, drop me a line as well.  Thanks.

Would love to get a copy of this layered as well.  I could fit it to a SlikStik CO2.

Thanks,

What was the file created in? I would also be very interested in a layered copy. Unless you have a problem with me changing it alot. If so I will try to make my own.

Didn't I see a marquee/side art similar to this, with the purple/blue futuristic theme?  I think I remember seeing it on a cab, but it's been a while.  Anyone?

And I'm interested in the layered version also, if only to see how it was done!

I've emailed all interested parties for the control panel graphic. The file uncompressed and layered is too big for me to put up on my FTP, so I can send it directly to you all via aim. Lemee know.

I have been in contact with Motorfish. He has been gracious enough to agree to send me this file. Please be patient since it is coming via snailmail due to the size of file, 140 mb, and some restrictions on his account. It is coming in compressed and uncompressed layered format. When I receice it, I will up it via ftp to Mahuti, Sonicflood, and the other I have emailed that have agreed to host it. He is a very busy guy so lets be sure to thank him for the many hours he put into it when we receive it. I will immediately email the hosts when I get it to get your ftp info. Thanks Motorfish !!!!!

Well, it looks like our conduit (Electron) hasn't logged onto the boards since his final post here on Nov 21st.  I'm going to email him/her to see if the uncorrupted file ever came through.

Electron recieved the files ( I gave him ALL of my MAME CP files ) today, Monday the 13th, and just emailed me to verify that it was permissable for him to post them online. I gave him the go-ahead, ( I just sent off the email about two minutes ago )

The files should be online soon. Thanks for your paitence, and sorry for those who've become dissatisfied and moved on.

I wouldn't worry about it.  Everybody knows you're a busy guy and they can't really complain when you're releasing your overlay publicly, in layered PSD format for anybody to use.

GOOD NEWS !!!  As Motorfish mentioned, I now have the file. I will email those I was in contact with prior on hosting the file, Mahuti and SonicFlood, or anyone that can carry a 164 MB file continuously. When I get their FTP info, I will upload it to them for distribution. Lets all make sure to thank Motorfish for his contribution here. He is a known artist in the character art world, a busy guy, and this file is an awesome piece of work. Also, the file is for all of us for personal use only. Anyone who wants to use it for anything else should contact Motorfish and obtain the correct permission before doing so. Thanks again Motorfish !!

Thanks for our patience?
You offer up a CP design for our use, something I (or most of the rest of us I'm guessing) couldn't create in a lifetime of messing about in photoshop, and you're thanking US for OUR patience.
I think you've gotten that one a little bit backwards my friend.

I can't imagine the time and effort invested only to toss it out into the public domain.
Thanks for making this available to us.

I just received the psd file from Electron. Anyone who would like to download it can get it from here:

http://zipstart.org/arcade/MotorFishCP.exe

I compressed it into a self-extracting file in order to reduce the download from 144MB to 49MB..

The only negative about the psd is that everything has been rasterized. I was hoping it would have been vector based in order to change some of the text and some of the shapes to fit my layout plans but I am still VERY grateful for what Motorfish has provided.

Thank you Motorfish and thanks to Electron for coordinating the distribution of this.
