Does a ATX PSU generate magnetic field?
« on: October 08, 2004, 08:17:15 pm »
Does a ATX PSU generate much of a magnetic field?

In my cocktail cab i have the PSU mounted directly below the monitor in the bottom of my cocktail cab.

I have been noticing a slight discolouration in the display (top left of the screen) which seems to correspond with the location of the PSU at the bottom of the cab.

when the monitor de-gausses itself it gets better.

can i shield the PSU in some way? its not really easilly possible to mount it in another position without moving everything else around.
