4 spinner cabinet issues
« on: October 07, 2004, 10:58:37 pm »
Hello.

I have a 4 player game cabinet with 4 spinners. I am using a Hagstrom ke72 (72 input) keyboard encoder and have 4 slikstik tornado spinners.

the spinners are either usb/ps2 input.

My problem was getting them modified to be read off of the keyboard encoder and not off of the ps2/usb hookup.

the spinners were sent to Hagstrom to have them modified so that they could be read off of the ke72 (encoder)

However, after the modificatrion, there is a lag in the movment of the spinner(s) since pulses are being read and then sent to the encoder. The movement is not smooth.

Is there anyway to make the movement smooth like holding down one of the arrow keys?

I tried a fast key repeat rate but it didn't change anything.

I have a feeling that I'm better off trying them under their original usb setup hooked up to a usb router of some sort and then....

runing Mame analog.

any ideas?

thanks for reading..!
