Dell 8200 for MAME cab?
« on: September 11, 2002, 09:30:43 am »
I'm thinking about getting a Dell 8200 (64MB GeForce 4 Ti4200 graphics card) for use in a MAME cab (Arcade PC with Wells-Gardner U3100 monitor that I already have).  Any suggestions or concerns about this computer for retrogaming (i.e.- motherboard incompatibility problems with Hotrod keyboard encoder, videocard problems, etc)?  In other words, has anybody had good or bad experiences with this set-up?  Any suggestions on configuration (how much memory, best-choice CPU, etc.)?  Thanks!

I am running a Dell Optiplex 833 w/ 128 mg RAM and an ATI (low rent) video card. Everything that I run (older arcade stuff) seems fine.
