Little troubleshooting

Sorry some of the context of these questions belong in different threads, I just had a few so I thought Id throw it out in main forum.

1) I am using a hybrid computer/arcade monitor SVGA I purchased from Happs (The 19"). I am having problems with Mamewah as well as quite a few games "Not being in range" (Im assuming either resolution or refresh rate). Is there anything I can do to hopefully fix this, hopefully I didnt waste $500 on a monitor that will only play half the games I want to play.

2) Currently I have my cab up and running, however it seems to reset on its own (the computer) every so often. Once its reset for the first time, the period in between booting up and reseting diminishes up to the point where it will reset the INSTANCE it loads windows in a never ending cycle. Has anyone had a problem like this?

3) Im looking to order glass clips for my cocktail from hopefully a canadian supplier...is there anyone from canada that can point me towards a canuck supplier?

Yeah.  For me, it was a heat issue.  The proc fan was going bad and I didn't know it until it just slowly stopped.  

Popped in a new fan, problem solved.  Dunno if that's your fix, but heat was the problem for me.

generally those hybrid monitors do not have the range that a computer monitor does.  Sounds like mame is choosing resolutions or frequencies your monitor does not support.  Just set the default resolution in mame.ini to 800x600 or whatever you want that your monitor supports.

i had this prob with a 19" WG U3100 and a 27" WG D9200. i use both mame32 and fastmame and found that in mame32 i needed to uncheck switch resolutions to fit in the default game options/advanced settings. and in fastmame i needed to add -noswitchres to the command line.
