Analog Settings for Pole Position Steering Wheel
« on: October 01, 2004, 09:21:06 pm »
I am currently in the process of setting up my driving games to work with my pole position steering wheel.  I was just wondering if there was an easier way to figuring out each game's correct analog settings?  Would the settings found to work by one individual, work for everyone else?  For example if John Smith has the Pole Position Analog settings setup properly, would another individual be able to use the exact same settings and the game work correctly?  Or are there too many variables, that his analog settings might not be right for me?

Good luck.

I fiddled with them for hours and could never find one that felt just right.

I'm sure it varies depending on your optical board and encoder wheel tho.

I am using Oscar's mouse hack and optic board along with my Pole Position wheel.  Don't know if that makes any difference, or even if somebody else had the same setup, if we'd be able to use the same analog settings?

At a minimum, with the same HW, I would expect the settings to get you close.  This is also assuming that if on Windows you have the same mouse settings.  i.e. accel off, speed in middle, etc.
