Which type are you looking for--the gameport version, USB version, or does it matter?

I would like the same one as reviewed on retroblast.I believe it hooks through the vga cable.Im using a arcade monitor with and arcade vga video card if that helps.I didnt think the usb version would work with my set up?

Just my 2 cents

I have the Act Labs VGA USB Light Gun and other then having to calibrate it every time I change games It kicks alot of ass ... just cant use it on your tv which sucks but I can live with that :)

I also picked upi Digital Leisures 3 Action Shooter Pack from EB Games here in Regina for $5 Canadian :)  SWEET DEAL I KNOW ... came with great LaserActive Games like Crime Patrol, Drug Wars and Who shot Johny Rock :) also picked up House of the Dead 2 and Area 51 for the PC ...

all of those games works great with it after you calibrate the gun for the screen wich only takes like 5 seconds :)
they are worth it ... But personally I think they are too light for my tastes

The USB version is the one I reviewed - you connect it to both the VGA port and a USB port (it draws power from the USB port and acts as a USB mouse, and it needs the VGA connection to detect the video signal)

Unfortunately, this is all moot until Act-Labs gets their new light gun out the door. It's only a rumor, but I've heard 4-5 weeks until they unveil either a new gun or new stock of the old gun.

Thanks for the response kevin, its your reviews along with BYOC that really lit the fire to build my own arcade. So thanks alot!!!I'll just have to wait until they start selling them again I guess.I hope they lose the 50's ray gun style shape ::)

dont' switch resolutions and use hwstretching and you don't have to calibrate it every time.

I used to use this for all gun games... Made it MUCH easier..

but I ripped mine apart to try and hack it into a real arcade gun... and stopped 1/2 way through it... bought a house and started moving... So I haven't used it in ages.
