Pray Missile Command weathers hurricane
« on: September 25, 2004, 05:15:41 pm »
Well Hurricane Jeanne is coming through tonite and my cab has to weather the storm, I protected the side that I need the measurements from the best I could and covered it.  The Home Depots were out of tarps that killed me.  I took pictures and took all the electronics out of and brought them inside.  All I have is a carport so hopefully all goes well, anyone else who might be affected by the storm, good luck and best wishes.

Put it together, plug it in, and play away!

Defy the elements, don't fear them!

Of course, that's easy to say when you live in the middle of California! =)

Be safe, and remember, it's just wood.

Thanks guys......we got a good amount of rain and still some wind outside, but we seemed to be pretty well.  I don't have a house anymore, but Missile Command is AOK. j/k.  The worst of the storm hit about 75 miles north of me.  Man, the hurricanes are so crazy this year, we should have Hurricane Zachary by November, wonder if they'll postpone the elections ?.....

glad to hear you did fine... I had a few leaks myself... same ones as last time that I couldn't find... but I was up late and found EVERY one of them... time to get out the caulk... :D  after I get my airplane from the keys...

ps-  looking for a cab too... if ya know one down here in decent shape... I'm getting restless... haha

Man, are your priorities messed up, or what??
Next time put the TOILET out in the carport.
In addition to being heavier for its size than the arcade cabinet, it's also WATERPROOF.

During Charley, my cab was half finished and in the carport.  Right before it hit, I brought it into the kitchen.  Best move I ever made - my wife thought I was nuts.  :)

PS.  I just got it completely operational on Saturday and now Jeane knocked my power out so I can't play.....

Geeze... I'll SO take my 1-2 HUGE blizzards and 3-4 small blizzards each winter (a lot less lately) plus the 4 months of mosquitos and hot weather in the summers up here in Minnesota/North Dakota, rather than have to deal with multiple hurricanes.  At least with blizzards I don't have to buy out Menards/Lowes/HomeDepot each time.. I just stay home and keep warm, watch TV, surf and play games :)
