Will do machine work for....
« on: September 25, 2004, 05:00:02 pm »
anything I may need:

MP3 Player (portable)
Act Labs light Gun

or ca$h

I just finished a job for CrashWG and and can do some machining ( or a little sheetmatel work  ). Just email me and let me know what you need and I will see if I would be able to make it for you.

i.e. brackets, mounting plates, marquee retainers  etc... Let me know what you need and some measurements and gladly let you know if I can fabricate it.

I can work with stainless steel, aluminum, tool steel etc...

I would rather not do larger sheetmetal work, I am more of a machinist but it never hurts to ask, I may be able to do apiece you need.

There is no minimum of pieces and I can do stuff MUCH cheaper than a regular machine shop would do.

itsmejs: Could you be a little more specific? that may a bit large for the equipment that I have access to.

HoagieOne: Anything?

Here's some stainless steel brackets I made for Crashwg:

GameDork,
Do you have a metalbrake for at least 24" sheetmetal>

I need a piece of metal to fill the gap between my control panel and bezel. Bought a piece of Williams Control Panel molding trim but it's not quite as robust as i'd like.

Without measuring it, i basically need a 4x24" piece of 18 or so gauge sheetmetal bent at 90* along its long end 1" from the edge. Then about a 70* bend another inch below the first one (putting it 2" from either edge).

Essentially how it'd look from the ends:

  |                          /
  |                         /
  |                        /
  |                       /
  |___________/

I'd do it myself, but i don't have a break, and i don't think i can as good an edge as i'd like using clamps.

Thanks

Yeah,  we have a brake that is about 10 feet long! It has been abused in the past. The top "clamp" has places in it where it has been rolled up by someone trying to bend, what looks like, round stock!

It will bend just fine, but the shhetmetal may have a few places in the bend where its just not quite as crisp of a bend.

If you want, give me the measurements and I'll bend one and send you a decent pic to llet you see if it will be ok.

As for price, I can do it for the cost of the sheetmetal, shipping and maybe a 5 dollars for my time.

I'll post better pics when the package arrives.

Looking sharp so far though.  I'm stoked.  Just so everyone knows, this isnt just some bent metal.  He made a base CP with studs and removable panels that set ont eh studs which can be tightened down and plated it too.

Lookin good.
