Multiple Playstation USB adaptors??
« on: September 08, 2002, 12:47:28 pm »
I read somewhere that certain PSX to USB gamepad adaptors will only work when connected to the PC and not through a hub.  Does anybody know if this is true and what other limitations these adaptors may have?  Like how many can you use on a PC? thanks!

Well I've got two of them, but i'm using it with N64 controlers.  Well once controler really.  I can't get the second to work correctly.  I've sent a unit back and then gave me another one, but it still has the same problem.  They told be to try another N64 joypad, but thats not the problem becuase I can't get this adaptor to work on any pc correctly.  Must be something with a chip change or something.

So, to answer your question. I don't have any PS controllers and it doesn't seem to work with two N64 controllers.

Good Luck!

i work perfectly under any os.. 98,xp,me and so...

i used to have 4 of them..now i only got 2..works great...

i think you can use a hub because the hub as nothin to do with the usb converters..it will only give you more ports to connect more usb stuff. good luck  ;)

When they say the adaptor doesn;t work on that site they mean it doesn't register up and down or left and right at the same time.

There is a dual psx to usb adaptor there.

I think it'd need power only for force feedback controllers.
There are powered USB hubs out there.

thanks guys,  I think it was just the Kiki-joy model that had the problem.  Most ever site I have seen says they are limited to 2 and cant be used with a hub.  Oh well, I bought one at Radio Shack the other day and it works like a charm!  Here's a link to the crapy kiki-joy if anybody wants to check it out.
