Anyone hack a Logitech Wingman Extreme?

I picked this joy up at a yard sale yesterday for $1.  I had plans of hacking it until I opened it up.  I found that most parts were essentially tiny,  cheap,  pots.  Has anyone successfully hacked this stick?  I'm thinking that it may be good still for a custom gas pedal,  steering wheel setup but don't think it will work well for a joy + 6 button setup.
