keyboard hack display keypress.

How did the other ppl here that hacked their keyboards test that they were wiring up the correct pins ??

i.e is there a program that will show me all the keys being pressed (id use command prompt but how am i gona know when up or down is pressed ?

I would suggest you take a look at the Download section of Build Your Own Arcade Controls.

I suggest using keyscan...if using windows...it is nice....
