Newbie Qs

Hi All,

First let me say this is a great forum you have here. I've been reading for a few weeks and have learned a lot!

I believe I am almost ready to start my own home arcade machine.  My first box will be of the cocktail variety (If I make a Furniture quality cocktail machine maybe my wife will let me keep it in the house ;D).

Have:
-Computer
-Monitor (19 inch)
-Software (all)
-Wood (oak plywood and oak stock for trim cp etc)

Have ordered:
-I-pac2

Need:
-Custom smoked glass (sounds expensive)
-Pushbuttons (see below)
-Joysticks (see below)

Questions:
-Joysticks. Space is at a premium. Is the  omni-stik prodigy as good as it seems for a 4 way/8 way combo? I like the look of the retro edition. http://tinyurl.com/6dxxy Before I spend $44.95 US each on 4 sticks I would love to hear someone say "yes those rock".

-Pushbuttons. Happ buttons seem to be the most popular. Are the buttons at www.groovygamegear.com the same?  If I choose to order the omni-sticks is seems a shame to pay shipping again from somewhere else.

I love my prodigy and my buttons from groovy game gear.  I don't have the retro edition but I wish I did.  I think you can't go wrong with it.  Check out http://retroblast.com/hardware.html for the joystick reviews.

here is a page with the stuff for the glass.

My guess is that it would be cheaper to visit a local place, but seeing all this might help.
