Missile Command Bearings
« on: September 18, 2004, 12:30:53 pm »
I'm going to purchase the new rollers from Arcade Shop but was wondering if the bearing are standard roller skate bearings, they look dam close.  Was considering picking up some skate bearing if the same for some more longevity and they are probably smoother.

http://www.mantisamusements.com/rollers.htm  Has $15 each rollers... how much are the Arcade Shop ones?

Standard issue skate board bearings (that I've tried) have a too small inner diameter.  It's just barely too small, and you could probably machine the rollers to fit, but it won't work stock.

Wouldn't it be cool if we could get some rollers machined that would fit standard Skateboard bearings, since the OD is the same?

Anybody got a machine shop?

Are skateboard bearings that much cheaper than the others?  I can get bearings for ~$3.00 each, less in quantity.

I've seen sleeves of 8 for $3 on clearance at whatever-mart.
