Betson Imperial Trackball Wiring
« on: September 14, 2004, 09:42:08 pm »
Hey there!

I recently purchased an Imperial Trackball (prewired) from E-bay.  Like a true BYOAC member, I took it apart and forgot how the wiring goes.

I just don't know which wires go where.

Can someone help me out?  About the only wiring skills I have are hooking up buttons to my IPAC.  Anything more than that and I'm stumped.

If anyone knows which colour cables connect to which parts on the optic boards, I would be golden and forever grateful!

I have attached a pic for reference (with the optic boards taken out of the unit).  This is how I have it wired now, but I'm not sure that it's right.

THANKS!!

- Jeremy

I think it seems ok, look for the red cable and point it to the pin that has 5+... the buttons seems ok... but i'm kinda confused with 5V being black...  ::)
