Ideal Control weight?

Hi!
I'm in the process of building a PC Control Panel. I'd like to know what the majority of you feel is a good weight for a CP? I don't want it to slide around when I'm playing, but I also don't want it to make my legs numb if I have it on my lap.
So what do you think?

well.... my joystick is not that heavy... but as long as I have those rubber things as feet.... it won't move....
but if you want... you can leave some space so that you can actually add weight to it.... then you can kick it and it'll not go anywhere.... haaa haa haaa.....
