Easy cabinet to Mame on ebay.

Not mine, but I did up one of these cabinets before.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=13716&item=6117446364&rd=1

It already has vga monitor, already has Happ trackball and serial convertor board (buttons are not wired to it though, you need to wire them to the convertor board, and not to the ISA input board they are wired to from the factory).

The control panel is large enough to add a pair of joysticks with buttons.

You can also easily add a 19" monitor, just lower the monitor shelf.

Mine came out looking like this.

That is a 19" pc monitor, as the 13" VGA in mine blew up on me (power surge).

I have one of these, though my control panel isn't quite as deep as that one.  It comes with a 13" monitor.  Right now I'm using an old 14" monitor, though I'm tempted by that 21" KDS.  I'll check the dimensions when I get home.  From memory it's 22" wide and I think 17" deep on the inside.  The depth would be the problem, but you can take off the back and it would probably work.

yes to which :)

I used a 19" PC monitor, can't recall the brand off hand.

It would have taken a pixeltouch though.
