WTB Coin Door for Atari Basketball
« on: September 05, 2004, 12:38:36 pm »
I recently bought this cab from Paige Oliver you can see it in the back. However it orignially had a really funky coindoor. I would like to try and find something like it if possible. Anyone have any ideas? Keep in mind I have contacted Paigeoliver just incase he still has it laying around for a good price.

Also the specs of teh arcade say its a 23 inch monitor has anyone found out roughly what size will fit in this cab? Its a beast!

That cabinet shipped with a Lunar Lander style door, but any of the square doors should fit.

As for monitor size, it all depends on if you want to use that inner cardboard bezel and if you want to extend the back panel.

I really liked the look of the Lunar Lander door because of the circular drop in coin slots. And unfortunatly during the trip to my house I guess they hit a very moist area and the Cardboard bezel is now a cardboard slinky. I have been trying to use steam to try and get it back into its original shape but so far to no avail.  Any suggestions?

Well, it is probably horked then. But I have seen a couple Atari basketballs parted out on ebay lately. Search completed auctions and you may be able to track down another inner bezel.

Someone here has the one off that cab, but I can't remember who it is anymore.

That cabinet is so big that I literally had to turn it sideways and take my basement door off the frame, and then take the coin door off the cab to get it inside. And of course that ended up being the first door to get sold since it was already off the cabinet.
