Problem with IPAC 4

Purchased a IPAC 4 and was using the programming utility and it seemed to program now.  I noticed I lost my shift function after programming so went to program back to defaults and now I just get checksum errors.  Any help will be appreciated, figured I'd check here before contacting Andy.
