createing a history.dat file
« on: August 31, 2004, 09:26:40 pm »
how do you create one? i'm assuming the mame file i downloaded didn't come with it because nothing ever remembers my previous high score. i tried using the command prompt to make one by typing: "mame -listxml|xml2info > history.dat" but then when i tried playing ms. pacman twice my score had not been saved. i'm using MAMEWAH as a frontend if it matters.

It is hiscore.dat that saves the scores, not history.dat.

Do a Google search for 'hiscore.dat' and you'll find what you're looking for.
