WTT Asteroids delux cab for another classic, Virginia/DC area
« on: August 31, 2004, 08:17:38 pm »
Cab is in fairly good shape and had been run as a MAME machine. It is ready for use as the same or would make an easy restoration. I have just gotten an original working Asteroids and won't want a duplicate in the arcade. I would like to swap it for a comparable empty cab. We can negotiate a few things here and there if need be.
I am not interested in anything involving a functional classic, could not decomission a working classic.

The joysticks are on the wrong side!

Funny I say that about all arcade games I don't build the controls for. I am right handed and want my dominant hand to opperate the joystick which needs the best control and my other hand to hit a button.

What do you do about gamepads then?

Deal with it. Just like on my other dedicated games.

Although,,,, some of them are just fine...

I have dedicated games:

PacMan....No problem, right hand stick no buttons
Space Invaders..... No prob all buttons
Asteroids delux.....Ditto
MoonPatrol.... buttons on the "wrong side" by OEM design
Playchoice 10....On the "correct side" by OEM design
Galaga....a bit of a pain buton is on "correct side" by OEM

Mame I have:

Qbertized POW cab... buttons where i want them (MAME)
Asteroids delux cab... ditto

So the monitor is not a vector monitor?

OK, how about a trade for a Mr. & Mrs. Pacman Pinball machine?  It is not in great shape, but I'm working on cleaning it up... email me for more info if you are interested.

I'm about 15 min North of DC.
