Problems calibrating wheel

I have the logitech force gp usb wheel and mame and xp both recognize it fine....did the calibration in windows but can't get things to work right in driving games at all, how do u go about setting the analog to function correctly...all the buttons work fine....

I have 2 micro soft steering wheels.
mame 56 I could not get anything eather.
mame 79 I got many working games
I wrote down what the setting were set at.
and played with the speed and sensitivity ( check spelling)
I do not know when the analog was patched but something has been fixed
