Source for Stern coindoor emblems

Just giving a heads up for anyone who has a Stern coindoor with a worn or missing logo sticker. This place has em for $4.00 each.

You can also find both versions of the Midway coindoor logo plates at Arcade Shop Amusements. These are quite expensive though ringing in at around $15.00 each. I believe that these are actually made out of metal and need to be riveted onto the coindoor just like the originals. The Stern logos are stickers as were the originals.  Both products should give a restored coindoor a finishing touch. I'm not affiliated with either products but I just thought they were a cool find. :)

He must have got a ton of orders today. They're $5 now :(

Oddly enough , I JUST stripped 2 Stern coin doors today and had to peel off the stickers (DANG THEY STUCK!!) to get to the rust before repriming/painting.

BTW--did Stern coin doors have frames?  I have 2 without (from a bulk lot) and saw a few more on ebay that also did not come with frames. I find that hard to believe, but strange that I havn't seen one sold recently with a frame.

Monitor G. I believe that Stern used the same coindoors in their video games as they did on thier pinballs. The frame of a Stern coindoor is actually three peices. The fourth piece is part of the hinge so you usually always get that with the coindoor. For some reason operators rarely remove the rest of the frame and just sell the coindoor and the hinge. I guess they either forget or they're just lazy. If they're just replacing the coindoor then I would imagine they leave the frame on the cabinet and just reuse it. Quite annoing for someone who is looking for a *complete* Stern coindoor assembly for their cab. I would check out some pinball retailer sites as they might be able to help you find your missing frame.

The Midway coindor logos from Arcadeshop.com are metal (like the original), but they are made with a sticker surface on the back.  Mine is stuck on so well, I think it will remove the paint if I take if off.  They look awesome!
