For Sale, one Sammy videoworld Japanese sitdown cabinet that has been converted to MAME. This unit mostly works but should definately be considered a 'project' cabinet, and not a turnkey unit.
A few key specs:
P3 500
hagstrom decoder
presently running Mame under ArcadeOS
Happ Buttons & sticks (ultimarc J-sticks) are almost new.
The cabinet is solid, but the paint does have some noticable discoloration and wear in the high traffic areas. It is a little worse in real life than this picture would indicate.
I was told that the coin mechanism mechanically functions, but as it runs on Yen, I have not been able to verify this.
The monitor is a 25" standard resolution unit which generally looks good, but occasionally comes up in a strange hue until power is recycled. I assume this is indicative of a gun problem and means it is on the later leg of its life. The mounting rails and bezel support relatively easy conversion between horizontal and vertical orientions (As if any operation involving horizontally lifting a 25" CRT by two handles can be called easy

)
The audio abruptly stopped working after my last move. It could be a corrupt driver, maybe the integrated sound chip is kaput, maybe I am just connecting the PC speakers to the wrong audio jack, who knows. Worst case scenario, it needs a cheap PCI sound card and a couple hours of software tweaking. The speakers pictured are not included, you will need to supply your own.
I'd love to fix it up and keep it, but my wife doesn't like the look of it and so it has been in garage limbo for the last few months. I am hoping that I can talk her into letting me build a Ms. Pacman cocktail cab from one of the Arcadedepot kits, but we will have to wait and see.
Price is $150, local pickup in Fort Wayne, Indiana only.
