WTB: 19" B&W Monitor from anywhere
« on: August 27, 2004, 05:32:45 pm »
I just bought a complete Space Invaders Deluxe with a blown monitor on Ebay for $130. If I can replace/fix that monitor I'll be in business for cheap. However, I haven't seen the thing yet and I'm counting on it being unsalvageable.

Anybody know where to find a B&W monitor? As hard as they are to come by, I'm willing to pay reasonable shipping charges. However, anything in the Dallas/ Forth Worth area would be ideal. Thanks in advance!

I have 23" b&w monitors available tested and working if you want to put in a bigger screen then this would be ideal.

I'd say "hell yeah" except for one thing - we're talking about Space Invaders Deluxe. C'mon, paige, you know your games. I KNOW you do. ;-) There's a multi-colored film covering the monitor to simulate a color game. Such a film wouldn't (or at least I don't think it will) fit onto a 23" monitor. Plus I haven't seen the mounts yet so I don't know if it can accomodate a larger monitor.

Would you know where to find one? You seem to be the classic parts master around here.

I realized you had a Deluxe yes, but they are often missing the overlays.

You can hack almost any monitor into any cab. a 23" into an invaders would be simple.

Oh, I can sell you a tested/working 19", but you won't like the price one bit, $300 shipped.

Ouch! May I ask why it's so expensive? Is it because they're harder to come by? Are you already using it in something?  ???

I don't wanna be cheap. I want to do this the right way since it's a classic. But I don't know if I can afford $300 right now.

How much you think shipped to NJ For that complete Stunt Cycle?  I need to get my fill on that game.

I can get to Newark Liberty airport no problem to pick it up.

$300 for the game itself.

800-959-8880 and ask for Michelle at North American van lines for shipping info, think they will actually bring it to your house. Shipped from 63031 (Florissant, MO) to your location.

$110 for a working 23" B&W monitor shipped in the US. I only have one of these left that I am willing to sell.

Is it a VGA arcade monitor, or a computer monitor?
