USB Joysticks, i.e. Tron

I don't know if I should bother posting since no one will even answer my post on whether they have working mouse buttons in 0.86.

How are people setting up their USB joysticks for games like Tron?  I have a Logitech stick, but when I play the light cycle game, it registers diagonals, which I assume are because it it is too sensative.  Since its a joystick, I can't turn down the sensativity and I also can't increase the dead-zone in the joystick set-up.

Can anyone who has a joystick for Tron let me know how they did it?

I doubt you will have any luck with a usb joystick and the lightcycles in tron.  Those joysticks really stink for any 4-way game and the lightcycles is 4-way.  I believe the original tron sticks although 8-way were a little restricted for easier 4-way play.  When I play the light cycles I switch over to my 4-way stick and regular button.  Please consider "building your own arcade controls" to use the proper equipment for this game.

I've used just about everything on Tron at one time or another, and NOTHING works like a Tron stick.

As mentioned, the sticks are 8-way sticks, but are lightly restricted, so that if you push them QUICKLY to a direction, you don't get the zig-zags on the lightcycle stage.

Using a TRUE 4-way limits you on the other stages though, as the Tron sticks will let you hit the diagonals, they are just very insensitive to them.
There is a little sweet spot between each TRUE direction where the stick will do the diagonal.

As a workaround, you really need either a 4/8-way top switchable stick, or a 4-way and 8-way wired to the same inputs.
