USB IPAC with USB->ps2 adapter

Since my computer isnt really liking the ipac connected to my computer by USB.  (it keeps loosing its installation information each time i reboot causing me to have to  uninstall and reinstall it all the time)  I tried using a USB->PS2 adapter that came with my logitech mouse (those little dongle things), and switched my connection type in the ipac software over to PS2 as the connection.  This didnt work  Has anyone else been able to get the IPAC connected by ps2?  or is it just that dongle that's messing things up.  I looked everywhere and i cant find a Male to Male ps2 cable.  Just a Male to Female one.  And i couldnt find a gender bender to use with that.  Anyone know how you attach up the IPAC by ps2?

I've only ever connected mine with PS/2 so yes they definitely work.  I have purchased male to male PS/2 cables so they do exist (b eing in Australia there's no point telling you where I got mine) but obviously not as common as male to female (extension) cables.

I just realized that i think i remember seeing a USB/PS2 jumper on the IPAC that i didnt switch. I will give that a shot when i get home and see if that does the trick with the dongle

Ahh yes, well it certainly won't work in PS2 mode whatever cable/connector you have without the jumper set correctly!
