What to do for next project
« on: August 11, 2004, 11:44:34 pm »
I have built a MAME cab from scratch, restored a junked tempest cab into a Mat Mania, and built a 4 player control panel from scratch.

My question is, what next?
Should I build a cocktail cab?
Should I go and get another junked cab from this weird, creepy place called "pinball warehouse"?

If I go to the pinball warehouse, what should I look for?
They have very little on display, but they say they have tons of machines buried somewhere.

Any input?

Bah! All boring..its all been done already.  I'd like to see something different.  Here is my dumb idea:  Humancade
Make cab shaped like a person.  The monitor is the head, cab would be holding the control panel with its "arms/hands", coin door(s) in the legs, etc, etc
In case you are wondering, yes I am an idiot  ::)

Oh, i forgot to mention, I already built a jukebox from scratch too!!
I'v already done plenty of rewireing in my and other people's houses.

I guess I'll go with the cocktail, but should I make it from scratch or get a junked one?

Oh, and what would be a decent price for a used arcade monitor?
I got a 19" for free from that creepy store, but what should I offer for a 27"?

Awsome... How about building a piece onto your house to show your projects. Seriesously though, do you know anyone who might want a cab built, perhaps that could be your next project. Maybe a Jukebox; music, games and beers, you can't go wrong there.

Whatever you decide, have fun and keep busy.
