  • Soon: 4 Player Mame and Scratch Built Moonwalker.
What i most remember about going to the arcade when i was little was staring at the screen of a game i did not have money in and watching those images pop up of "Don;t Do Drug" screens and "Remember to Recycle" ect. Does mame emulate those images, because to me those are part of the authentic arcade experience.

    • Chris's MAME Cabinet
If the game originally had that screen, it will be there in MAME.  Not all games had them.

I've seen them.  I can't remember what gmes they were in.  I believe x-men vs. street fighter and marvel vs. capcom had them.  These images were part of the attract mode of these games.  They're there.  Just try the games you remember and let them sit there for a while.  They should pop up. ;D

Yup.

Cabal is the first one that comes to mind.  It's "Winners don't do drugs!" screen is included.  (I think)

dude, tons of games have them.  most of the games in the 90's had them...early 90's late 80's.  um....ninja turtles, wrestlefest, are the two that come to mind off the top of my head, but i know that others had them as well.

    • The Dragon King
All konami and data east games from 92 on for the most part had the "winners don't use drugs" message.  The recycle message was rarer and only popped up on a few versions of cps2 games released in the us(mostly the street fighter alpha series).

  • The Bears Still Suck!
From my Double Draogn II manual:
"Anyone offering parallel boards of Double Dragon II: The Revenge will more than likely be selling illegal and illegitimate copies, and will be prosecuted accordingly.  American technos and Romstar support the efforts of the AAMA and the FBI in its anti-drug campaign.  The "Winners Don't Use Drugs" message will appear in all legitimate versions of Double Dragon II: The Revenge"

The US Double Dragon II in mame has the winners screen.
