FS: Speakers and keyboards
« on: August 05, 2004, 01:39:31 pm »
Would anyone be interested in used PC speakers and/or keyboards either for hacking or normal use?  I recently picked up about 140 sets of speakers and 120 keyboards all in good, working condition that I'll let go real cheap.  Most of the speakers are Cambridge Soundworks model SBS52 (pictured) but I do have some Boston Acoustic, Labtec and a few Altec Lansing.  Most of the keyboards are PS/2 Gateways.  I'm asking $4 for a pair of speakers and $1 for a keyboard plus shipping.  I'll cut you a deal if you want 5 or more of anything.

If you'd like to figure shipping, the Cambridge Soundworks speakers run about 6.5 lbs packaged and the keyboards about 4 lbs from zip code 54136.

what kind of keyboards?  are they usb or ps/2?  if they are all the same, have you checked for blocking and have the matrix mapped?  what is the profile, (height), on them?  i may be interested in purchasing a few..

Most of the keyboards are ps/2 Gateway (Keytronic) P/N 7001459.  There are a few Gateway 2000, I've seen some HP, some Keytronic and a few other odds and ends.  I've got about 20 AT keyboards also.

The first Gateways that I mentioned measure a hair over 1.5" tall at the tallest point.  I have not checked blocking or mapped the matrix.  I'm not really familiar with the procedure becasue I have always used I-Pacs.

Do you have any black keyboards?  If so I'll take one.  And I'll probably take a set of speakers too.  What would shipping be to Michigan?

Sorry, no black keyboards.  Shipping for one set of speakers to Michigan - Priority Mail - is $6.80.  Total cost: $8.80.

Here's a fairly accurate list of what's left:

50 (+/-) Cambridge Soundworks SBS52
25 Labtec CS-150
13 Labtec LCS-1014
8 Boston Acoustic BA265
4 Altec Lansing GCS100
2 Altec Lansing ACS40
1 Altec Lansing ACS90

No subwoofers...and no pictures.  I was borrowing a camera for the pictures above and no longer have it.

If anybody wants to drive here and get them, I'll sell the whole lot for $75  ***pick-up only*** plus you can have as many keyboards as you want.  (Can you tell I really want my garage space back?)  ;D ;D ;D

Last call for speakers...all of the keyboards are gone.

Cambridge Soundworks - $1 per pair plus shipping.  I have a box of 10 of them on eBay and will be putting another out there shortly. - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5119798437
New auction - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5121522265

I have 14 sets of the Cambridge Soundworks that are discolored or have slightly dented grills or other cosmetic defects that I will give away free...just pay shipping.

I'm down to 3 sets of the discolored/dented Cambridge Soundworks speakers and they are missing the AC adapters.  They're free...just pay shipping.

The rest are on eBay:

Boston Acoustics BA265 - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5121453397

Altec Lansing - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5121451511

Labtec LCS-1014 - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5121454716  SOLD

Labtec CS150 - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=5121458106

I bought one of the lots.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.
