I-Pac and Opti-pac vs mini-pac
« on: August 04, 2004, 05:15:38 pm »
So I'm trying to decide which would be the better combination and my question is this:  If the minipac does basically everything that the I-pac + Opti-pac does why would I want to spend more on the two separate boards?  I know that the Opti can handle more spinners/trackballs than the mini, but for the average cabinet wouldn't the mini be fine and cheaper?  On a related note, is there a provision on the mini and opti for the mouse buttons?  Thanks for any help for the newbie!  -Malcolm

If you are putting together a two player panel with no more that one trackball and one spinner then minipac should do it.  If you are doing a 4 player panel or dual trackballs or something then you will need more.  I know the optipac supports the mouse buttons but not sure about the minipac...someone else will know.

The Mini-Pac also supports the mouse buttons...2 or them...
