I'd get it, but my trackball is 2 1/4" and this jerk won't ship to Canada.

I think Bob Roberts carries this.  Can't check right now as his site appears to be down?  Pool balls work in 2 1/4" trackballs as well, I bet there are some cool/odd pool balls out there.

just was going to post this one:

Apparently some distributors break up the novelty sets and sell them individually (I've seen some of the Mickey mouse ones individually)

I've got the three inch "Earth" ball on my cab. It really adds a lot to it's looks. Bob Roberts does indeed carry it, that's where I got mine.

That would be sweet having the BYOAC and pixel's MAME logos on a trackball.

Another option for cool balls of any size is EPCO, sold in the US by Paramount Industries

I have some of their 4.5 inch candle pin balls in my Atari Football cab.  There are new and cooler choices now...  I may need a transparent with floating skull ball!

I almost wish I would have gone with the smaller trackball, just for the all of the choices. I did find another company that sells the marble trackball. For some reason I can't get to Bob's Website. I'm thinking of getting the clear ball then getting a light that changes color.

I wonder if they make a green marble 3" TB. My cab colors are going to be mostly green and I was origionally going with the translucent green ball...
Thanks,

Yes, I was thinking something like that.  I even searched the net for giant marbles.  I saw some really cool paper weight type things (don't know if they had a flat bottom though) but they were $80

If someone finds a blue/white marbled 2.25" ball let me know cuz I'm buyin' one!!!
If there's bees in the trap I'm catching em
By the thorax and abdomen
And sanding the stingers down to a rough quill
Then I dip em in ink, and I scribble a bit
But if it they wriggle then I tickle em until they hold still
Lemme say it again
In my land of pretend
I use bees as a mf'n pen

Here's what I used. A little pricey but I've yet to see another cab with a back lit translucent purple trackball. ;D Only good for 3" trackball units though.
I'm considering the clear one with the glitter inside to replace the ball in my first cab. I'm thinking that the glitter ball would look cool if back lit with a colored led . After clicking on the link, scroll down a bit to get to the balls.

I was looking for nifty replacements a while ago- check these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=19268&item=5512574868&rd=1

http://www.khanimports.com/stonesphere.html

The only thing I was worried about with these is the weight- It would wear the rollers & bearings sooner, and would be harder to start/stop the ball moving, causing a loss of precision.

Oh, and they're hard, so Golden Tee ball slammers might hurt their wittle hands. ;)

Only problem is the number 4 right there in big print!

I bought a clear 2 1/4" pool ball w/glitter from Paramount about 2 months ago.  Ran about 12 bux with shipping.  Works great!  Looks neato lit or un-lit....  (sorry for the bad pic tho)

I found these crystal balls that have a laser etch in them. http://www.ffandf.com/crystalballs.html

I've been thinking of putting a blacklight behind my marquee, If I don that then these UV balls would work great!!
