feel of the t-stick plus
« on: August 04, 2004, 10:25:08 am »
of course, my question is going to sound stupid...

but I wanted to ask about the feel of the t-stick plus, specifically related to the 4/8 way operation.  I've read a few reviews and I understand that the throw is really short.

Anyways, right now I have Happs Supers.  The 4-way on the suppers... lets just say, "leaves something to be desired."  Does this rotating plate on the t-stick plus give it the restrictive feel of a real 4-way, or the ghetto-4-way of the happs super???

Thanks for your help.

It's definitely the restrictive feel.  The short throw is nice, but I think it's rather stiff.  Wish I had a P360 to compare it with...

If I understand correctly, I think mmmPB wants to know the "4-way" feel as it relates to the restrictions on the corners.  As a "real" 4-way pac-man type joystick cannot really go to the corners.  I sort of forces you to the side or the top.
Basically, does the t-stik pluss it feel as if you have one of those metal restrictor plates mounted on top of the joystick?

Yes.  There are no empty diagonal corners to hit, as the restrictor on the bottom makes it move in a diamond shape.
