SVGA to aracde monitor

has anyone found a way to hook an aracde monitor up to an SVGA cable??? I have a TV view that will convert the VGA signal to component, and SVGA, I was wondering if I could connect this directly to an arcade monitor, by just cutting the end off the cable and wiring it up. Any tried this???

There are a few ways to do it..

1) create the cable itself.  You have to cut a vga cable and seperate the r, g, b, and syncs....  I can't remember where I found it for myself..  but search around (and maybe on the side menu under monitors)...

Next.. how not to blow up your CRT..

1) best case!  Buy an ArcadeVGA video card.  This allows direct connecting in windows

2) Some people have good luck with PowerStrip.  There is a setup for arcade monitors.  I didn't get it to work for me... and it might have been to do with they syncs... I didn't spend any time on it.

3) Trident64 video card + hacked drivers.... but your running a top of the line video cards... hope you don't need hwstretching.

4) Next... your stuck with DOS and advanceMenu and advanceMame

I have a MicroTV view that converts the VGA signal to a signal that is  meant to go to the TV through SVGA and Component output, so I think I should be ok with this part. I just need to find the cable info.
